CatonLloyd completes audio visual design review prior to installation for leading pharmaceuticals brand in Germany

CatonLloyd's audio visual design team has recently supported a leading global pharmaceuticals brand with a thorough review of audio visual installation designs prior to their installation and commission.

Expert audio visual design review by CatonLloyd's leading AV & video conferencing specialists

Based in Germany, our client had prepared initial designs for audio visual and video conferencing facilities across an extensive 60 meeting rooms.

With such a large programme of upgrades and installations, it's essential to be sure that all designs and specifications are precise before equipment is ordered, building and adaptation works commenced and audio visual and video conferencing equipment installed.

Our team was commissioned to review the plans and designs for all 60 rooms. Having worked with our IT integrator client and the end user brand to define and understand the client's brief for the upgrade programme, our audio visual design team then carried out checks including:

Will the audio visual systems designed work?

Checking for functionality and compatibility, our audio visual design team reviewed all meeting room designs to ensure the correct equipment was planned and integrated, ensuring that the client's brief would be achieved on every installation according to the room's intended use.

Is the audio visual design achievable for each meeting room?

Considering budget, timescale and the client's brief, as well as equipment supply and each room's electrical and other services, our audio visual design review considered whether the designs prepared were achievable by the client and its appointed contractors.

Can the systems designed be rolled out practically?

Importantly, a key factor on a project of this scale is whether the rollout of the audio visual design is practical to be managed within the client's budget and timescale. This review allows us to determine whether elements can be completed off site, such as rack build, and to identify the installation programme more thoroughly, as well as advising as to whether equipment included in the design may prove problematic, in terms of both supply and human resource skills.

Is project planning complete or are there any aspects of the audio visual installation missing?

Having reviewed the audio visual designs for each meeting room, our team then considered the project planning for the installation programme, advising as to any practical or logistical difficulties presented, ensuring all aspects of each room's installation, testing and commission was accounted for in the project plan and accommodating contingency where required.
